Are you curious about what I did and how I lost 15 lbs with an 8-week challenge? Keep reading—I’m sharing it all.
I know I’ve been a little quiet lately, but for good reason. I took some time to step back and clear my head. I wanted to get my mind right so I could come back stronger. Now, I’m more focused and better than ever.
If you’ve been following Breathe Chile, then you already know. I’ve always kept it real about my health journey, sharing both the highs and the lows. Toward the end of last year, though, I hit a rough patch. I slipped out of my routine, lost my consistency, and honestly, I wasn’t feeling like myself.
But then something unexpected happened. BODi selected me to join an exclusive test group for their brand-new program. This opportunity came at just the right time. This wasn’t just another fitness challenge but an opportunity to reset, refocus, and recommit to myself.
And let me tell you—it changed everything. This program completely transformed my daily routine. It reignited my motivation. It reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
The support, structure, and community pushed me further than I thought I could go. Not only have I seen real physical results, but the shift in my mindset has been just as powerful.

Let’s start with the basics.
There were a few simple ground rules for joining the BODi test group. Honestly, they weren’t hard to stick to. First, I had to commit to doing the workouts every day. There was no skipping and no excuses. Each session was a 25-minute strength training workout, six days a week. I was in and out before I had time to talk myself out of it.
To be honest, this is exactly what I needed. Consistency has always been my biggest struggle. Being part of this group held me accountable in a way I hadn’t experienced before. It pushed me to show up daily, even on the hard days, and that steady rhythm made all the difference.
Next, I had to follow one of BODi’s nutrition plans (Portion Fix or 2B Mindset). (Spoiler: I chose 2B Mindset, and I’ll share why in a minute.)
Lastly, no alcohol. For the entire program. But that part was easy for me. I had already made the personal decision to quit alcohol as part of my wellness journey. It felt like everything was aligning perfectly.
Why I Chose 2B Mindset
Out of the BODi nutrition plans, the 2B Mindset stood out to me because it felt realistic and sustainable. It’s not about counting every calorie or feeling restricted. Instead, it’s a real-life program built around a positive, flexible approach to eating. You can enjoy food, attend social events, and still see results without guilt.
Created by Ilana Muhlstein, 2B Mindset teaches you how to shift your thinking around food. It helps you make smarter choices and build a healthy relationship with eating. The best part? With BODi, you get access to recipes and meal plans. You also get ongoing support and Ilana’s personal tips to help you stay focused and motivated. For me, it was less about dieting and more about creating a lifestyle I could actually stick with.
I’m not a fitness guru. I am just a real woman who lost 15 lbs and 20 inches in 16 weeks. I did this with the BODi 25-Minute Speed Train 8-week Challenge. Here’s what worked for me—and how it can work for you too.
1. I Stopped Saying I Didn’t Have Time
I used to believe I didn’t have time to work out. Between work commitments, family responsibilities, and the endless stream of daily life, it just felt impossible. Being consistent with my fitness seemed impossible. However, this program is just 25 minutes a day, a surprisingly manageable chunk of time.
In fact, that’s even less time than I often spend doom-scrolling on social media. I endlessly scroll through posts that don’t contribute to my well-being. At first, it seemed daunting, but I quickly realized that 25 minutes was not only achievable but also refreshing. I could dedicate that small amount of time each day and be done before I knew it. I felt stronger and more energized, ready to tackle whatever challenges the day would bring.
Studies show that a 25-minute strength training workout offers a beneficial and time-efficient way to improve strength. It helps increase muscle mass and enhance overall fitness. You don’t need hours to dedicate to working out. You can achieve significant results with shorter, more intense workouts. A 25-minute workout is ideal for those with busy schedules. It’s also perfect for those who prefer to get a workout in quickly.
Personally, I made it a point to get my workout in first thing in the morning. That quiet window before the chaos of the day kicks in? It became my time. I’ve learned that the longer I wait, the more likely I am to make excuses. Before I know it, the day slips away, and I haven’t done my workout. That’s why finding your rhythm is so important. Maybe it’s mornings, maybe it’s after the kids go to bed. But whatever it is, own it and stay consistent. That’s where the magic happens.
💡 Pro tip: Start small. Commit to less time, but do it consistently.
2. I Got Honest About My Eating Habits

I learned to focus on more protein, more fiber, and less added sugar. For me, that meant at least 150 grams of protein and 25 grams of fiber every day (or at least most days). I didn’t cut entire food groups or starve myself—I just paid attention, stayed mindful, and gave myself grace.
Since I’m an early riser when it comes to workouts, I typically wait to eat until after I’m done moving. I’ve never been much of a morning eater—honestly, even as a kid, breakfast before school would make me feel queasy. And that hasn’t really changed.
So instead of a big first meal, I ease into my day with what I call my “protein coffee.” It’s the perfect combo of recovery and ritual. After I’ve finished my workout, I get the kids out the door. Then, I make my favorite blend using stevia, creatine, and collagen. I add a splash (or four) of creamer and whatever Nespresso pod I’m feeling that day. Depending on how generous I get with the creamer, it usually comes out to about 150–200 calories.
This isn’t just coffee—it’s my time. My little reset before diving into work and whatever the day throws my way. And let’s be real—I’m not giving up my morning coffee.
Around noon, I eat what I like to call my “second breakfast.” Sometimes I call it lunch, depending on how the day is going. This protein-packed meal keeps me full, energized, and focused through the afternoon slump.

One of my go-to meals is a simple but satisfying combo:
🍳 One whole egg + 100g of egg whites
🧀 50g of cottage cheese (mixed into the eggs for extra creaminess)
🍞 A slice of toasted sourdough topped with mashed avocado
🍓 A side of fresh berries and a scoop of Greek yogurt
This whole plate clocks in around 400 calories and delivers a solid 30g protein. It’s nourishing, filling, and honestly just so good. Plus, it keeps me from mindlessly snacking later.
When I need something quick, easy, and filling between meals, BODi’s Shakeology and Recover are my go-to snacks. Each one has 20 grams of protein, which helps me stay full and curb cravings. It also helps me to hit my daily macro and protein goals without stress.
Lately, I’ve been enjoying the orange whey Recover mixed with sparkling water. It tastes like a guilt-free soda. It gives me that refreshing boost I didn’t even know I needed.
At night, when I’m winding down and craving something sweet, I blend Shakeology with ultra-filtered milk (hello, extra protein!) and ice. The texture turns out just like ice cream, and it hits the spot. It’s my favorite way to treat myself without falling off track.
If you’re trying to stay consistent with your goals, finding snacks that taste good is crucial. They should also support your progress. These snacks do exactly that.
Dinner is all about keeping it clean, light, and satisfying. I usually go with a lean protein, like air-fried chicken, salmon, or tofu. I pair it with a fresh salad loaded with fiber and healthy fats. I love adding hemp seeds, chopped nuts, and a light, flavorful dressing to keep things interesting.
This combo leaves me full, nourished, and still in a slight calorie deficit, which is key for continued fat loss. Plus, ending the day knowing I’ve hit my macros without feeling deprived? That’s a win. I go to bed feeling good, physically and mentally, because I stayed consistent and fueled my body right.
💡 Healthy doesn’t mean hungry. Eat real food, read your labels, and fuel your body. If you’re trying to stay on track with your goals, building your meals around high-quality protein is important. You’ll feel more satisfied and less likely to reach for junk food later.
3. I Measured More Than Just My Weight
Look—losing 15 pounds felt amazing, but the real wins were things like:
✅ My jeans zipped without a fight
✅ I was pushing harder in the workouts
✅ I could see definition in my muscles
Let’s talk about those moments when the scale doesn’t budge, because they will happen. During my first round, a few weeks went by when the number on the scale stalled. It actually crept up. I was crushed. I felt defeated, like something was wrong with me. And honestly? I was scared I was letting down my test group.
So I reached out to my teammates and shared how I was feeling. The outpouring of love, support, and encouragement was overwhelming in the best way. I remember sitting there in tears, feeling so seen and uplifted. That support gave me the push I needed to keep going, even when I felt like I wasn’t making progress.
Even though the scale wasn’t my friend during that time, something else was happening—I felt lighter. I had more energy, I was lifting heavier, and my clothes started fitting differently. Most importantly, when I looked in the mirror, I actually liked what I saw. Progress was happening, even if the scale didn’t show it right away. And wouldn’t you know it? Eventually, the number started to drop again. I’m so glad I didn’t quit when things got tough.
💡 Track your wins in inches, energy, strength, and mood—not just pounds.
4. I Stopped Looking for Perfect and Focused on Progress
Some weeks, I crushed it. I achieved goals I had set for myself, feeling energized and motivated. Other weeks? I had to drag myself through every workout, every healthy meal, and every moment of discipline. But I didn’t give up. I reminded myself this wasn’t about being perfect—it was about being committed.
Every day brought its own challenges, and some were tougher than others. There were times I wanted to quit. I questioned my journey. I wondered if all the effort was worth it. Yet, even when the results weren’t instant, they were still happening. Changes were occurring, albeit gradually.
My body was changing, becoming stronger; my habits were changing, evolving into a lifestyle I could sustain. I was changing. I was learning to embrace the journey with all its ups and downs. I understood that real growth comes from persistence and resilience.
Through perseverance, I began to appreciate the small victories, the incremental improvements that collectively made a significant difference. Each workout, each healthy choice, became a building block toward my ultimate goals. The commitment to myself became a source of pride, shifting my focus from fleeting perfection to long-term dedication.
I was going through a change, and it wasn’t just about my looks, but my whole mindset, too. I started valuing long-term change way more than any quick fixes. The journey wasn’t just about my external appearance. It was about finding genuine satisfaction and achievement. That vibe would keep me pushing ahead, no matter what challenges popped up.
💡 Progress beats perfection every time. Show up. Do your best. Repeat.
5. I Found a Community That Kept Me Going
Being part of a test group shifted things for me in ways I never saw coming. There’s something super powerful about not going it alone, about having others with you who get the struggles.
We kept each other on track and cheered each other on when things got tough. It made a huge difference in my drive and grit. Instead of facing our problems solo, we turned them into wins we could all celebrate together. It really created a vibe of positivity. That shared determination pushed us all to keep moving forward as a team.
💡 Find your people. Whether it’s a group, a coach, or a friend, support = success.
You Can Do This Too. And I’ll Be Right Here With You.
This journey reminded me that it’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself, embracing the process, and learning along the way.
Each step, whether forward or backward, contributes to your personal growth and resilience. And if you’re reading this thinking, “I want that too,” then guess what? You absolutely can.
The path may not always be clear, and there will be challenges to overcome. Regardless, every moment spent striving for your own happiness and fulfillment is invaluable. Remember, the commitment to yourself and your aspirations is what truly matters in the end.
It’s not too late to feel amazing this summer—and this time, we’re doing it the healthy, sustainable way.
